ROOT CANAL

Root canal teeth are teeth that have had their inner pulp chamber and nerve tissue removed due to infection or decay. This is an important dental procedure that can help save a tooth from extraction. Once the pulp chamber and nerve tissue has been removed, the tooth is filled with a special material and sealed to protect it from further infection. The root canal procedure can help restore a tooth‘s natural function, shape, and appearance.

DENTAL HYGIENE TREATMENTS

Oral hygiene plays an essential role in keeping your teeth and gums healthy. Poor gum health has been linked to an array of serious medical conditions, and thedentalstudio in Knutsford is here to help you minimise this risk by taking care of your mouth!

Between brushings, bacteria can accumulate on your teeth. When the sugar in your food and drink comes into contact with this bacteria, it forms an acid that attacks tooth enamel and irritates your gums. When you visit our hygienist, she will undertake a thorough clean of your teeth, removing plaque, tartar and bacteria. By combining this service with expert advice on how to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible between trips to see us, we can help you enjoy great oral hygiene.

WHITING FILLING

The process of having a white composite filling placed on your teeth will depend on the type of filling you need. Generally, the process involves the following steps:

1. Your dentist will first examine your teeth, and take Xrays if necessary.

2. Your dentist will then prepare your tooth for the filling by removing any existing decay or damage.

3. Your dentist will apply a boa nding agent and fill the cavity with composite.

4. The filling will be hardened with a special light.

7. Final adjustments will be made to the filling and you will be given instructions on how to care for your filling.

8. You may need to return to your dentist for a followup visit.
